About

Linc Cohen
Chicago

Bio: After graduating from the University of Illinois and spending a year and one-half as a VISTA volunteer, my work life was spent in just two places: Inland Steel Company in East Chicago, Ind., where I was a "Mill Mechanic" for 18 1/2 years and AFSCME Council 31, where I was editor of the newspaper that goes to all members and retirees in Illinois. Now I'm retired, with pensions from both places and Social Security to help out. Always a writer, I figured it was about time to give myself a platform. Always an activist, I feel an urgency to do something about climate change. My grandchildren need us to stop heating up the world they will inherit. But that's not all I'll talk about here. Hope you'll find some of it of interest.

  1. I was wondering what you were up to and googled you. Boy, have you been up to a lot. You probably don’t want to renew our friendship as I’m in the oil & gas business, but we always enjoyed one another after we were cherubs at NU. All the best, Jon Massey (jon-hildy@att.net)
